Receive Files with Xender guide

Prepare the receiver

The receiving device should open Xender and enter the receive workflow before the sender begins selecting files. Follow the connection instructions displayed by the app and accept requests only from a device you recognize. Preparing the receiver first makes the pairing process clearer and reduces failed connection attempts.

Check storage and permissions

A receiver needs enough free storage for the incoming files, especially when the sender is transferring videos, photo collections or large folders. Review the app permissions required for storage or local network access and make sure Android or iOS has not blocked them. If the app cannot save incoming files, checking permissions and available storage is one of the first useful troubleshooting steps.

Verify received files

After the transfer completes, open the destination folder or Xender file manager and confirm that the important files are present. Do not immediately delete the original files from the sending device until you have checked the transferred copies. For important personal data, keep a second backup until the new device or storage location has been fully verified.
